Meet the Officers

Corresponding Secretary: Dominic Sanchez, CMA (AAMA)

 

Dominic is an AAMA Certified Medical Assistant and holds an associate degree in applied sciences from Eastern Maine Community College.

​

Before joining the MSSMA in the spring of 2023, Dominic had a varied background in medicine,  management, and compliance, providing the perfect foundation to help the MSSMA achieve their goals. He is currently employed at Northern Light EMMC in Bangor, Maine.

​

Coming from a family with a long-established history in medicine, Dominic felt destined to enter the healthcare field. He has two children, Riley and Gracie, with his beautiful wife Becka. He is an avid sports enthusiast and enjoys woodworking when time allows.

There are more than 4000 medical assistants working in Maine!

Medical Assistants are working in a wide variety of settings all over the State!

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, medical assisting is projected to see a 19% growth in Maine from 2019 to 2029.
